Ombrelle Sunscreen Shades Your Skin

Ombrelle sunscreen, designed by L'Oreal and introduced in 1990, is a broad-spectrum sunscreen, protecting against all forms of ultraviolet light, that is safe to use on children. It is oil-free, and resists water very well. And as you might expect from a L'Oreal product, it also helps prevent premature aging. It's the sunscreen brand most recommended by healthcare professionals.

Ombrelle's regular formulation provides SPF 30. This is more than enough for anyone; according to top sunscreen researchers, an SPF of more than 30 is pointless added protection. Its other products offer a wide range of sun protection products, from facial sprays to lip balm.

The most outstanding strength of Ombrelle products is their ability to block all types of ultraviolet light, not just the UV-B most commonly blocked by sunscreens. This is less common than you might think. The two types of ultraviolet light are UV-A, deemed less dangerous, and UV-B. However, either type can penetrate deep into your skin and cause melanomas. Though blocking UV-B protects your skin from most burning, it does not protect you from melanoma caused by UV-A.

Most sunscreens that advertise UV-A protection only block a small portion of this type of ultraviolet light. Ombrelle, on the other hand, blocks as much as 98% of all UV light, including the more common UV-A.

And Ombrelle's ingredients are specially designed to provide photostable sun protection. Instead of degrading and becoming useless after a while in sunlight, Ombrelle's UV-A blocking ingredients remain stable and last much longer when you're out in the sun.
