Wolffe beds come in a variety of styles, sizes, and for both commercial as well as for private homes. Some places offer financing on the Wolf beds, for both commercial and residential, which is good since the pricing can be quite high. Tanning at a salon you have a wider variety of beds to choose from, while tanning at home can provide more privacy and 24-hour access.

If you want a Wolfe bed for residential use, but don't want to spend a ton of money, you can find a great deal just by doing a Google Froogle search on the Wolff 1000S tanning series. This series are tanning canopies, essentially just one half of the tanning bed at 1/3 the cost of a full bed. They are more mobile and easier to store than a full unit. These beds take a little extra time, since you'll have to flip over and do the other side, but it's quite a savings for such a small inconvenience. Another option is to look online, in the paper, or on eBay for used beds on sale at lower prices. One note, older models used Crystal Sun System tanning lamps (for 30 minute systems). Light Sources Morning Sun 2.6 is considered a better replacement for these models due to lower UVB output and higher UVA output for deeper tans.
